Mission Logistics is built upon Goodwill’s innovative strategy to reengineer its excess transport capacity into a dynamic, flexible, affordable alternative for customers in the commercial market.

While Goodwill’s core services rely on its fleet of trucks and drivers, the organization identified an ideal opportunity to capitalize on that capacity — idle during non-peak times — to more broadly serve the community. Mission Logistics fills a gap in the supply of bulk transportation and freight carrier services for the distribution market, without requiring a long-term contract. We’re ready round-the-clock! Mission Logistics operates two shifts: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Mission Logistics is a “fair profit” entity. Every dollar we net supports an opportunity for another person in the community to succeed through training, employment and other resources of Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, a human service agency and network of not-for-profit business helping people overcome barriers to employment and enjoy the dignity and benefits of work and improved quality of life.

  • 26 ft box trucks with lift-gates
  • 53 ft swing door dry van trailers
  • 53 ft dry van trailers with roll-up doors
  • Over-the-road and local tractors

We are equipped to handle:

  • Pallets and bulky commodities,
  • Textiles,
  • Building materials,
  • Industrial supplies.
  • Non-perishable goods (palletized water, etc.)

Products such as perishable goods, hazardous materials, explosives and other items requiring special handling and vehicles cannot be accommodated at this time.
